Pairings announced for Walker Cup day one
GB and I skipper Nigel Edwards is relishing the prospect of pitting his young team against the holders.

Hide AdThe competition begins on Saturday with four foursomes matches (GB and I names first) Jimmy Mullen/Ashley Chesters v Maverick McNealy/Hunter Stewart; Paul Dunne/Gary Hurley v Beau Hossler/Denny McCarthy; Cormac Sharvin/Jack McDonald v Jordan Niebrugge/Robby Shelton; Jack Hume/Gavin Moynihan v Lee McCoy/Mike Mcoy.
There was split family loyalties in one of the match-ups - St Annes Old Links member Bob Ashworth is carrying for McDonald, while Bob’s son Jonathan is on the opposite side caddying for American Shelton.
