The new Championship campaign will take a big step forward next week for Preston North End and Alex Neil with the release of the fixture list for the coming season. It has been confirmed by the EFL things will get underway on 12 September with the Carabao Cup scheduled to begin the previous week. The Lilywhites will have to contend with THIRTEEN midweek fixture cards with the regular season finishing in the second week of May.
Preparations continue for Neil after missing out on Kiefer Moore who had been linked with a move.

3. Ward's Cardiff exit all but confirmed

There could be a future for Terence Kongolo at Huddersfield Town. The £17.5m record signing hasn’t played for the club since November and has recently been on loan at Fulham.
