Witness appeal after serious road collision in Chorley

A Chorley road is now reopen after what police described as a "serious" collision this afternoon.

Now they are seeking witnesses to the incident which is believed to have involved a pedestrian and a vehicle.

Chorley Police had earlier tweeted this afternoon: "Due to a serious road traffic collision, Moor Road Chorley is closed in both directions near to Taylor Street and the Texaco garage.

"Please use the B5251 as a diversion if you are travelling between Chorley and Coppull."

In an updated message, police said: "Moor Road Chorley has now reopened after a road traffic collision earlier today.

"If you witnessed this & haven't spoken with us, or have any dash cam footage of the incident, please contact us on 101 with log ref 0989 of the 20/02/2021."
