Three casualties in serious condition in hospital after horror crash in New Hall Lane

Emergency services rushed to the scene shortly before 11pm after a car crashed into the gates of Preston Cemetery at the roundabout junction with Blackpool Road and Brockholes Brow.
An ambulance service spokesman said: "We got a call at 10.54pm to reports of an RTC, we’ve mobilised a number of resources including three ambulances.

Lancashire Police have been contacted for information on a fourth casualty.
New Hall Lane reopened at 7.30am after being closed for around 8 hours whilst investigators sought to establish how the crash happened.
Pictures from the scene show the extent of the damage to the cemetery entrance, where parts of its stone wall and iron gates have been left shattered on the ground.

Hide AdEarlier this morning, a police spokesman said: "We are currently dealing with a serious road traffic collision in New Hall Lane, Preston.
"Closures have been put in place at the road’s junction with Blackpool Road and at Brockholes Brow.
"The closures will be in place for a considerable period of time and we would ask that people avoid the area. We will update you as soon as we can."
