1. Cha

2. Nowt and owt
The former is an abbreviation of nothing. As in, ‘Much happening? Nowt pal.” And of course if you have ‘nowt’, you’ve got to have ‘owt’, meaning anything. ‘Owt for lunch?’ Photo: Neil Cross
