Man 'impaled on piece of timber' after fall in Lancashire
The incident happened at around 11.30am today (Thursday) in Barons Way, Euxton, near Chorley.
It is believed the person fell from height.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Two fire engines from Chorley and the Urban Search and Rescue Team from Chorley attended a rescue of a person in a major entrapment on Barons Way, Euxton.

Hide Ad"Fire fighters assisted North West Ambulance service in extricating the casualty.
"Crews were in attendance for approximately 25 minutes."
It is understood the incident involved a man being impaled on a piece of timber after an accidental fall.
A North West Ambulance Service spokesman said a person was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries.
A Lancashire police spokesman said the force was informed but the incident was not a police matter.
