Major road closed after car fire
Part of a major road in Preston was closed on Monday after a car caught fire.
Emergency services were called to Garstang Road in Fulwood, near Black Bull Lane, after the fire broke out at about 11.30am.
The car was “well alight” at the road side, and fire crews from Preston used a hose reel jet to tackle the blaze.
Nobody was hurt, and the fire was thought to have begun in the engine compartment.
