Staff at a Chorley bookies are used to punters placing a pony on a fancy.
But when one walked through the door of the town centre shop just a few hours before the start of the Grand National on Saturday, they - and customers, too - got a bit of a shock.
The animal was led into Ladbrokes, Market Walk, on a rope by a punter who politely inquired “do you allow horses in here?”

Tiger Roll went on to win the National - not sure if the punter backed it, though.
Maybe he’d had a tip straight from the horse’s mouth?
