GALLERY - Fun at Hoghton Flower Festival
The Bishop of Burnley, the Rt Rev Philip North opened the festival at Holy Trinity Church, which was held from Friday to Sunday.
The festival showcased a variety of floral exhibits organised by Lilybets Flowers and arranged by a number of locals.

Hide AdOrganiser Elisabeth Sawle said the event was ‘absolutely fantastic’.
She said: “The whole community came together for the festival, it was amazing.
“And people came to visit from all over the place - from Lancashire to Hull, Cornwall, and there was even a man from South Africa visiting.”
Community organisations came together to help support the festival, such as the Women’s Institute, Hoghton Players, Hoghton Pantomime Society and the Village Hall - as well as a number of other churches and pubs.

Hide AdA number of performances were involved in the celebrations, including the Leyland One Voice Choir, Phoenix String Orchestra and a songs of praise event for everyone on the Sunday.
A helicopter ride over Rivington and a weekend break to the Lake District were also up for grabs in a competition which helped to fundraise for the church.
