CCTV appeal after Penwortham girl, 8, is held at knifepoint in "terrifying" robbery

The images show two young men in a convenience shop who police believe might be linked to an armed robbery in Hawkhurst Road on November 28, 2020.
That night at around 6pm, four men forced their way into the home where an eight-year-old girl and her grandfather were held at knifepoint.

Hide AdThe child and her 82-year-old grandfather were unhurt but left "extremely shaken" after also being threatened with a screwdriver, police said.
The four men ransacked the house and stole cash and personal belongings before fleeing in a dark SUV vehicle.
Following the burglary, police appealed for witnesses and information, and said the offenders were white, short and aged in their mid-twenties to early thirties.
No-one has been arrested in connection with the robbery.
Det Con Nick Steenbergen described the robbery as a "shocking incident which must have been terrifying for the victims."

Hide AdHe said: "Thankfully, they were not physically hurt but have been left extremely shaken.
"These individuals were prepared to use weapons and threats in order to steal and we are following a number of lines of enquiry."
Today (Wednesday, April 28), five months after the robbery, police are again appealing for information and have released CCTV images of two suspects.
Det Steenbergen said the CCTV is from the day of the robbery but said he could not reveal where the footage as this might compromise the investigation.

Hide AdDet Con Nick Steenbergen added: "This was a shocking incident which left the victims extremely shaken and we are appealing for the public’s help in identifying them.
"I would appeal to anyone who recognises the individuals pictured to come forward with information."
