While most areas have seen the case rate fall, according to the latest data from Public Health England, a number of areas have dropped lower than the national average.
Currently the national average rate of infection across England is 149.2 per 100,000 of the population.
With hopes that Lancashire could be downgraded to Tier 2 next week, this is promising news.
