First spade in the ground at Preston Market
The special event marked work beginning on the next stage of Preston Council’s £50m Markets Quarter development.
Part of the concrete balcony of the current market hall is to be removed, to make way for a giant sheet of glass to be brought in for the new market, under the historic canopy.
