Phase Two of Fulwood Central will bring a mix of retail, food and drink, leisure and industrial units, together with a shipping container park, to the site off Eastway.
Outline planning permission is being sought for the multi-million pound scheme which will involve the demolition of the former CCA greetings card factory in Oliver’s Place.

Hide AdCouncil officers have recommended that Thursday’s planning committee gives the project the go-ahead, more than doubling the existing shopping park which only opened less than two years ago.
Fulwood Central already boasts an Aldi store, with other units including B&M, Greggs, Subway, Costa and Burger King.
The next phase will offer more retail, indoor leisure, crazy golf and a gym. The container park will consist of painted shipping boxes fixed together in a “distinctive and contemporary” three-storey layout with a courtyard for people to eat, drink and socialise.
And the project will provide more than 50 industrial units to attract small businesses to the area. The site will provide almost 750 parking spaces.

Hide AdThe report by officers recommending approval says that while Phase One has brought employment for 40 people, the new addition could see more than 10 times that number of jobs created.
Only one letter of objection has been received, claiming the plans for Fulwood would impact on Preston city centre.
