An award-winning Halloween attraction has reopened in the Ribble Valley.

Scare Kingdom Scream Park returns for its fifth year – having scooped the North West’s top Halloween destination and been voted UK’s Number One Scream Park in 2011.

It offers a twisted journey combining live scare-actors, special effects and heart-pumping thrills, across six all-new scare attractions and experiences.

They include the oddly-named Manormortis, Neverdead Scare Zone, The Oubliette, Cyberscream Live, Cannibal Carnevil and - for the over-18s in need of a serious bit of scariness, the Psychomanteum.

This amazing attraction, which costs an extra £3.50, is invites you to achieve a new ‘state of purity’ by making an appointment to undergo Goodkind’s treatments yourself. Set inside an old Victorian correctional facility, in-patients are diagnosed and committed for treatment in a one-on-one sensory-deprived scare experience that is guaranteed to leave them shocked and sickened.

Guests can recover in the licensed Psycho Bar, and watch a live feed from inside Psychomanteum.

Scare Kingdom Scream Park is at Hawkshaw Farm Park, the home of Mrs Dowson’s Ice Cream, on the A59.

It is open from 6.30-9pm on selected nights until November 9. Advance booking essential at www.scarekingdom.com.
